Carlotta Bertelli, 1988, fotografa di moda e still life, innamorata del Piccolo Principe - crede che ogni abito o accessorio sia il racconto di un segreto e fotografa i cappelli come fossero elefanti inghiottiti da serpenti.

Ha collaborato in Italia con case editrici quali Logos, Condè Nast, Gruppo Editoriale L’Espresso, Unique Media, Gruppo Editoriale. Diverse sono anche le pubblicazioni su riviste indipendenti ed internazionali.

Appena finiti gli studi di fotografia viene selezionata per la sezione talents di Vogue che pubblica il suo primo vero e proprio lavoro La-Mise-en-Scène, in cui già si riconoscono gli elementi di gioco tra realtà e finzione, di creatività e di ironia che accompagneranno poi tutta la
sua produzione.

“L’arte non deve rappresentare il visibile, ma rendere visibile l’invisibile” - le ripete sempre Franco Fontana, il cui incontro ha giocato un ruolo fondamentale nella formazione artistica di Carlotta Bertelli. La luce diventa sempre più l’elemento capace di sintetizzare questo concetto, finché con la scoperta del light-painting conquista la “sua luce”: con semplicità e raffinatezza reinterpreta questa tecnica mantenendone l’essenza artigianale e dando così vita ad uno stile che subito
raccoglie il favore degli addetti ai lavori e che in breve richiama l’attenzione anche dal mondo della pubblicità con incarichi per aziende quali Renault ed Elizabeth Arden.

THE LAMPLIGHTER PROJECT
Nel 2013 Carlotta dà vita a The Lamplighter project, per sperimentare la “sua luce” al di fuori del set e portare questa esperienza in giro per il mondo, fotografando tutti e tutto, viaggiando, sempre. E se le chiedono a cosa serva tutto questo, lei risponde che “è un mestiere bello, quindi è utile”.
