The developers of the RadioShuttle LoRa peer-to-peer solutions made a universal app for MQTT environments. The app contains a message view of the messages for defined MQTT topics, MQTT messages can be sent via an action menu. For example, it would be conceivable to activate an alarm system remotely and have messages reporting burglary appear immediately on the family's mobile phones via push notification.

The new version 2 bow features an additional dashboard view with a graphical user interface for tiled display and control elements, so-called “dashes”, which the user can create and design themselves. It can be used to monitor and control any actions such as home automation and industrial controls, e.g. lighting, temperature display, weather, light colour, heating control, machine control. Dash controls provide buttons, sliders, text display, selection lists, and HTML views that are displayed as interactive tiles.

The MQTT Push solution can be operated universally in any MQTT environment. Messages for defined MQTT topics are automatically displayed on the smartphone within seconds as push notifications with banners, optionally with an alarm tone. App users can send predefined MQTT messages via an action menu or dash element, which can automate further processes via the MQTT server.

Designed to complement an existing MQTT environment, this app provides an easy-to-use interface with the ability to receive MQTT messages as push notifications.

App function overview:

MQTT message view of all messages
Push notifications are displayed within seconds
Action menu for sending defined MQTT messages
JavaScript for filtering /customizing messages
Dashboard view with graphical user interface
Dashes without programming needs: switches, sliders, text view, selection lists
Dashes in HTML view (using HTML & JavaScript)
JavaScript support for controlling dashes
– Non-commercial use free of charge (up to three accounts / three smartphones)
Universal for any MQTT environment

Prerequisites:

MQTT server with publicly accessible host name / IP address (own server or access to a public server)
Port number of the MQTT server (plain text and SSL connections are supported)
Access data for the MQTT server: User name and password (does not work with empty user name)
MQTT sensors or similar, which can be used
MQTT topic names or paths used for the message display
Optional: MQTT topic names or paths for actions

Your feedback is welcome.
