Chicago is that rare American city that draws visitors just to see its
architecture. Famous designers like Louis Sullivan, Frank Lloyd Wright, Daniel
Burnham, and Mies van der Rohe made the city known as the Birthplace of Modern
Architecture. Contemporary stars like Frank Gehry, Rem Koolhaas, and Renzo
Piano have left their mark as well.

This "critical guide" steers you to dozens of the city's landmarks and hidden
jewels with the outspoken commentary of Edward Keegan, an award-winning
observer and participant in the local scene for a quarter century. Whether
you're looking for directions around town to the major sites or just scrolling
to add to your knowledge of this city's seminal designs, "Chicago
Architecture: A Critical Guide by Edward Keegan" will instruct and entertain.
