Incognito Droid is a simple application that will disable the microphone and jam the camera on your Android device. This is a great application for privacy, certain recording reasons, or if you simply want your microphone/camera disabled.
Microphone:
On most devices this application will automatically unmute the microphone when a phone call is received while the user has the microphone set to "Muted." However, there are certain devices that need the mic to be enabled manually. Please test your device beforehand to see how phone calls and other applications that need a microphone are handled.
Camera:
If the user has the camera status set to "Jammed," the application needs to be running in the background for it to continue jamming. If the application is closed (not running in the background), it will need to be opened again to use the jamming function.
With that being said, Incognito Droid users need to test their devices accordingly to get a feel for how it works. Disabling sensors/cameras on the Android platform can vary for each device, and unfortunately I don't have the resources to test on every platform.
