Triangle Calculator calculates and draws any triangle, it finds the missing angles, heights (altitudes) and edges for you.
2-solution calculator

Find the immediate answers for your construction projects (roof calculations, step hand rails, etc.) in engineering, at school, etc...

This triangle solver as a trigonometry calculator applies the trigonometric functions of Heron's formula, The Law of Cosines and Sines and the Pythagorean Theorem. It's triangular calculation engine will also calculate the triangle if you only know two altitudes + an angle or side.
In case of SSA or other scenarios with insufficient data for congruence, the trigonometry calculator will present a second solution if available.
Impossible, insufficient or conflicting data will be answered with an error.

SSS (side, side, side)

ASA (side, angle, side) two interior angles and the included side

SSA (side, side, angle) If the angle given is opposite to the longer
side of the two sides, then the triangles are congruent.
If the angle given is opposite to the shorter side the trigonometry calculator will provide a second solution (press the button CALC 2nd).

AAS two angles and a corresponding (non-included) side

Various combinations with altitudes and an angle or side

Triangle Calculator is a trigonometry calculator which solves all types of triangles.
Those are mostly classified according to their internal angles.

Right triangles (or right-angled triangles, formerly called rectangled triangles) have one of their interior angles at 90° (right angle).
The side opposite to the right angle is the hypotenuse, the longest side of the triangle.
The other two sides are called the legs (or catheti) of the triangle.
Right triangles obey the Pythagorean theorem: the sum of the squares of the lengths of the two legs is equal to the square of the length of the hypotenuse:
a2 + b2 = c2, where a and b are the lengths of the legs and c is the length of the hypotenuse.

Triangles that do not have an angle measuring 90° are called oblique triangles.

A triangle with all interior angles measuring less than 90° is an acute triangle.

A triangle with one interior angle measuring more than 90° is an obtuse triangle.
