TelloFlightControl was tested with the following devices:

Samsung S6 (Android 7)
Samsung S3 (Android 4.4)
Samsung Note Pro 12.2 tablet (Android 5)

Connect the Tello drone to the phone or tablet WiFi, then start the TelloFlightControl app.

Your first "cmd" must be "command", to place the drone in "command mode". The response from the drone should be "OK".

Press the floating red "info" button to see a quick list of command types.

As you begin typing, a list of preset commands will appear. You can use the preset, or modify parameters. Example: select "left 40", then edit to "left 53".

Landing the drone:

The drone can receive the "land" command is several ways:

1. Send "land" command.
2. Press the "Send Cmd" button, with no command text entered.
3. Lock or sleep the phone.
4. Hide the app with the "Home" button.
5. Another app pops up in front of the running TelloFlightControl app.

Entering commands before the previous is finished:

When entering commands, you will have to wait for the previous command to finish. The Tello drone does not indicate "busy" or "finished". You will have to visually identify that the current command has completed.

Example: If you set the "speed" parameter low (1-10), it can take a long time to move . If you enter a new command then, you will get an "error" response.
