What is a conflict?
A person has two options to decide about what to do. He can not take both. Each option is necessary to fulfill a need of the person. Both needs are necessary to achieve a higher objective of the person. So he is in a quandary.
Two persons are in conflict about what to do in a specific situation. Each person wants to fulfill a personal need. And there is a higher objective, they share. The two needs are necessary conditions to reach the higher objective.

How to solve the conflict:
1.Identify the two options, the two needs and the one higher objective.
2.Identify the underlying assumptions:
a.Why is the higher objective necessary?
b.Why are the needs necessary to reach the higher objective?
c.Why is option 1 necessary to fulfill need 1? Why is option 2 necessary to fulfill need 2?
d.Why is it not possible to do both options at the same time? Why are they in conflict?
3.Identify which of the assumptions are wrong or can be falsified?
4.Create a solution based on the wrong assumptions.
5.Check the solution.
