WELCOME IN THE FIRST APP “ VISIT LAGONEGRO”!
The cultural association "A Castagna Ra Critica", offers two itineraries to visit Lagonegro, a small town on the slopes of Monte Sirino, which according to an ancient legend boasted its presence on its territory of 33 churches.
Unfortunately, some of the religious buildings, once present in the town, have collapsed due to lack of time; nevertheless it is currently possible to visit a considerable number.
The first itinerary takes you to the heart of the historic center. Starting from the Chiesa del Seggio, better known as Sirino's Sight (in honor of Our Lady Of Sirino, patron saint of Lagonegro), along ancient alleys, you reach the oldest part of the town, where, on a cliff, stands the Church of St. Nicholas at the Castle, rich in valuable works of art.
The second itinerary, however, was located in the central part of the town (main square), and it runs from the ancient Corrado Palace, until the ancient Church of Carmine.
We invite the visitor to immerse themselves in a journey of art and faith.
