Karate is good to learn, even by children. That's because karate is a sport without tools and is called an empty-handed sport. So, when we are in danger, we can practice the karate techniques in our lives.

We don't need to carry tools wherever we go because karate does not need tools.
Because of this, many people are interested in learning karate. Come on, we know more about this sport!

Karate is a sport that originated in Japan. However, karate is heavily influenced by Chinese martial arts, namely kempo. When entering Japan, precisely to Okinawa, this sport is actually called tote. Tote itself means self defense from China. However, the Japanese at that time were very nationalistic, no language or anything that came from outside Japan. Therefore, the name tote is replaced with karate which means empty hand.

Just like other martial arts, karate also has many streams. There are four streams recognized by the Japan Karate Federation (JKF) and the World Karate Federation (WKF). The four streams are Shotokan, Gojo-ryu, Shito-ryu, and Wado-ryu. In addition, there are also several other schools, namely Kyokushin, Shorin-ryu, and Uechi-ryu. Each stream has a different focus and purpose.

Karate has three main techniques, namely Kihon, Kata, and Kumite. Kihon is a basic technique, such as punches and kicks. The word is the top technique in karate that is learned if we can master the kihon technique. While kumite is a fight when players attack each other with kihon techniques and words that have been learned.
