Unearthed is an interactive art installation created for Botanica: Contemporary Art Outside. Leading local and national artists have transformed Brisbane's City Botanic Gardens into a temporary outdoor gallery from 6-15 April 2018.

Unearthed invites you to explore seven sites of historical interest between the central path and the Brisbane River. Experience 360° photographs and narration from the perspective of the first garden curator.

Look back to the earliest days of the Gardens with us. The tenure of the first Curator, Walter Hill, began in the late 1800s. Witness firsthand how today’s Gardens and its mature trees record the work of Walter Hill. In those early days of Brisbane, the Gardens were a testing ground from which Queensland’s agricultural industry would grow.
