Mosaic Management Systems provides on-site competency management systems designed to meet the specific needs of individual sites.

This app allows Mosaic users to check personnel details and their qualifications. It also records the delivery of Toolbox Talks and Safety Briefings.

Data is synchronised with the main database (Mosaic Website) using the device's Internet connection. This allows onsite use, even when mobile reception is unavailable.

To read the smart chip of a Mosaic card, your device requires NFC (Near field communication)*. If the card has a QR code printed on it, then you can read it using your device's camera (auto focus recommended).

Note: To be able to use this application, you must have a Mosaic username and password for a server which has been configured for Android support. If in doubt contact Mosaic support.

Note: The presence of NFC on a device does not guarantee contact-less card reading of Mosaic cards. Devices with the Broadcom NFC chip (Such as Nexus 4 &10, Samsung Galaxy S4, and 2013 Nexus 7) will not be able to scan the Mosaic card. All other features (including barcode scanning) will still work however.

Devices which we have tested to successfully scan Mosaic cards are:

- DEWALT MD501
- Lenovo P2
- Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge*
- Samsung Galaxy S6**
- Samsung Galaxy S5
- Samsung Galaxy S4*
- Samsung Galaxy S3
- Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini
- Samsung Galaxy Fame
- Sony Xperia Z
- Sony Xperia M4 Aqua
- Nexus 7 (2012)

* These devices will briefly show "NFC tag type not supported" when a card is presented. This should be ignored by the user as it is caused by the system and is unrelated to the Mosaic app.
** These devices will not work if the operating system is Android Nougat (v7+)

Note: Following is limited only to Mosaic App
GPS Location - to track location when performing certain tasks like recording a briefing
Photos/Media/Files - to access App database
Device & app history - to access App's background activities
