This application provides a quick and easy way to estimate the Federal and Provincial taxes one would expect on their earnings and capital gains from stocks and cryptocurrency!
Given the annual expected earnings for the year, the calculator provides the total income taxes and EI/CCP/QPP deductions, and net income. It also displays a graphical representation of the income taxes, periodic earnings, tax bracket breakdown and comparison against other provinces and territories.
The calculator has an optional capital gains field, eligible dividends, ineligible dividends and RRSP contribution field. A transaction helper can calculate capital gains from the sale of stock and cryptocurrency (such as Bitcoin). The RRSP input will be used to assess the RRSP refund that may contribute to a tax refund for the year.
