Roooaaarrr! Here comes Sock-A-Saurus-Rex! This dinosaur sock puppet was a huge hit with our daughter. It was a great dinosaur craft to make and a fantastic toy to play with when we were done! Our dinosaur sock puppet, in addition to being silly and fun, was a great way to teach simple lessons about dinosaurs to our daughter. This sock puppet is a simple preschool craft that your children are sure to love!

What you'll need:
Sock: clean and fun colors preferred
•2 googly eyes
Red and black felt
Felt that matches your sock (whatever color you'd like!)
Scissors
Glue
Drinking glass

How to make your dinosaur sock puppet craft:
Put the sock on your hand or your child's hand. Wiggle the sock around a bit so that your thumb is able to make a good mouth for your puppet.
Cut a triangular piece of red felt for the inside of the mouth and glue it in place.
Glue on two googly eyes on the sock so they sit on top of your hand.
Cut two small circles out of black felt and glue towards the front of your fingers to make a dino nose.
Cut triangles out of felt to make the spikes on the back of your puppet. You will need two triangles for one spike.
Glue the tops of the two triangles together, leaving the bottom part open. This will allow you to glue the spike onto the sock and still have it stand up.
Run a generous amount of glue where you'd like the spike to go, spread the bottom of your spike open a little bit and press it into place. Repeat for as many spikes as you'd like (we were able to fit 3 on an adult sized sock).
Cut a little bit off the open end of your sock to make arms for your puppet. Shape the extra bit of sock into a t-rex like arm and glue one arm on each side.
Slip the sock puppet over a drinking glass to allow the glue to dry.
